Pregnant and full of questions, I’ve got you!

You deserve to feel confident, prepared, and powerful in your pregnancy — and that starts with getting the answers you need.

This page covers the most common questions I get about my hypnobirthing courses, what they include, and how they can change your whole outlook on birth. As well as general pregnancy questions that get asked in my ‘Pregnant in Grimsby, Cleethorpes or nearby’ private Facebook Group, which you can access here.

No swinging pocket watches here — I promise. Hypnobirthing is a full antenatal education course, with the added layer of teaching your mind and body to work with labour, not against it. It uses deep relaxation, breathing techniques, and positive mindset tools to help you feel calm, in control, and more confident in your birth — whatever kind of birth that is.

Most parents join a course anytime from 20–34 weeks, but earlier gives you more time to practice the techniques and really embed them. I did my hypnobirthing course at around 16 weeks pregnant with my first baby but used the techniques from the moment I had a positive test with the other two.

That said — I’ve had people start at 36 weeks and still come away feeling totally transformed. So… earlier is great, but it’s never too late. I also have the option to do a short intense course, for those of you who are rushed for time.

Yes, yes, and yes. Hypnobirthing isn’t just for those straightforward births — it’s for any birth where you want to feel informed, empowered, and calm. In fact, hypnobirthing was the most powerful for me when I was being induced as I knew exactly how to use it to support my body and my mind.

My course covers inductions, planned C-sections, VBACs, and everything in between. You still deserve tools, choice, and confidence.
