Sensory Play Classes in Grimsby

Spark your baby’s senses — And their confidence!

There’s something magical about watching babies explore when there’s no pressure — just soft lights, gentle music, and a room full of toys designed for their growing minds.

I’ve seen both babies and parents who were shy at first light up with confidence after just a few sessions — little ones reaching, crawling, babbling with excitement, and mums finding real connections and friendships of their own.

That’s what these sessions are about: creating a calm, beautiful space where both you and your baby can shine in their own time.

Do you want to relax and chat to other parents?

Discussions are encouraged in all of my classes, however, as Sensory Play sessions are fairly unstructured, it means that chatting to other parents and finding new mum friends is so easy!

  • Do you want freedom to play with your baby?
  • Do you crave adult time to chat with other new mums?
  • Do you want to come to a beautiful, safe environment where there is no judgement at all?

Why are lights so important?

Everyone loves using sensory lights with their babies — and for good reason.

Using sensory lights with your baby:

– Supports visual development
– Strengthens eye muscles
– Encourages tracking skills
– Builds focus
– Develops sensory processing skills

However, it’s important to use sensory lights intentionally. Lights that are too bright, too fast-moving, or used for long periods can easily overstimulate young babies.

In my sessions, I choose developmentally appropriate lighting designed to engage, not overwhelm – creating the perfect balance between stimulation and soothing.

“Was really nervous to start baby groups with my little boy, I even nearly cancelled due to him suffering badly with colic. Danielle encouraged us to come along anyway and offered so much help with that matter and anything else we struggle with!”

Meet Danielle…

I am so passionate about children’s development; I have spent 14 years as a teacher, linking every activity to the children’s targets and next steps.

When I started my business, teaching Baby Massage Classes, I started looking into babies development and how we can support them to reach their full potential.

Not ‘just’ play.

I completed my Diploma in Infant Developmental Play just a few months after studying my Tummy Time Practitioner course, as I realised that there was so much more for these babies to learn than just tummy time!.

frequently asked questions about sensory play…

You can absolutely play with your baby at home. But it’s also really important for both you and your baby to socialise. By meeting other parents, you find your ‘tribe’ – you’ll build a support network of other like-minded parents – friends who you can voice note in the middle of the night when your baby won’t sleep, friends who you can share photos of poop with and friends who won’t judge you when you turn up on their doorstep in yesterday’s clothes with sick on your shoulder!

To be honest, I’ll be surprised if they don’t cry at some point! Crying is your baby’s main way of communicating – all babies cry! One of the first things I say at each session is that our classes are all baby led, so if they need feedings, changing, a nap or a cuddle, that’s ok, we go with the flow.

Before you attend any of my sessions, I always send out an email or a WhatsApp message with directions on, a photo of the building and any other additional information you might need. I also make sure you have my number, so you can get in touch if you are going to be late or have any other questions.

What about those of you who are anxious?

I’ll hold my hands up to this one, I’ve been sitting outside a baby group in the car in tears because my anxiety took over and I couldn’t face going in.

I absolutely know how you feel and my inbox is always open, there’s even a box on my booking form for you to share any worries!

I’m happy to meet you at the door, let you come 5 minutes early and any other way of helping you get in the door… it’s all about that first step, the rest are much easier!!

Still got questions?

If you’re still unsure whether this is the course for you, please get in touch. I am more than happy to discuss the different classes I offer and we can have a chat about how to most effectively meet your baby’s needs.
